Hi everyone...and welcome to my brand new Powertex Blog! I'm hoping to bring you news...projects...workshop/party info...and lots of inspiration!
I'll start with a little bit about Powertex itself.
Powertex is an amazing, multi functional, environmentally friendly, water based, fabric hardener. Powertex can harden absorbent materials such as textiles, paper, cardboard, fabrics, leather and fibreglass. Powertex can be easily combined with self-hardening clay, concrete, stone, ceramic, wood, sand and Stone Art. Powertex is used for making sculptures, paintings, decorative objects and jewellery.
Once cured, projects created with Powertex can be put outside and are completely weatherproof! Oh...all except our wonderful Transparent Powertex that is! Transparent allows you to keep the patterns & colours of fabric you've chosen to use, or you can make your own beautiful Powertex colours with our Powercolor Pigments, but it just needs a couple of coats of Easy Varnish to make it weatherproof.
A little bit about me and Powertex!
I have crafted for many, many years, but in 2014 I bumped into Powertex! It caught my eye in a big way...I loved it's huge range of uses, and looked in awe at the projects that were being made with it! So much so, earlier this year I trained and became an official Powertex UK Tutor!
I cover the SP (Salisbury/Andover) area of the UK. So now I can bring Powertex to all of you, in the form of classes, workshops, Children's Parties, Hen Parties, Corporate events and more!
If you're interested in an introduction to this fabulous medium...I'd love to hear from you :)
